.ZGB is getting some exciting bookings for next year including The Great British Rhythm and Blues Festival at Colne (Muni stage)
But lets not jump ahead, we still have some fantastic gigs this year including our support to Kaz Hawkins at The Robin (Oct 25th) and our debut at the infamous Tuesday Night Music Club in Surrey (Dec 5th).
Our Go Fund Me page has been getting some very generous donations indeed towards our originals album and we are super excited to get into the studio and record. Announcements coming soon about our progress and release dates...
We had an amazing gig at The 100 club with unbelievable support from fans who came put in droves on a Tuesday night to support our debut at this legendary venue. Thank you so much! We played alongside Lisa Mills and Debbie Bond,- two very talented and lovely ladies. Our next exciting gig will be support for the fabulous Kaz Hawkins at The Robin, Bilston (Oct 25th). Concession tickets can be purchased from our merch page. Hope to see you all there!
Phew! what a fantastic couple of festivals weekends we've had playing at Upton Blues Festival and The Rock and Blues Custom show! The reaction from the crowds was awesome and we had so many friends turn up to see us and made lots of new ones along the way. But the festival season continues and we can't wait to head down to Cambridge Rock Festival this weekend (August 4th) to play our ZGB acoustic set and meet some more amazing people..
We have been locked away rehearsing for a busy month of gigs and can't wait to rip the roof off! Take a look at our gig listing and come check us out in May to catch the awesome line up of Ali Clinton on guitar, Dave Clarke on Bass, Toby Wilson on drums and Paul Brambani on Hammond. Its gonna be sizzlin'..
The times they are a changin' here at ZGB... we have decided to branch off into two areas, with Zoe (vocals), Ian Haughton (drums), Derek Lawrence (bass) and James Stanley (guitar) working together to create an exciting originals studio album. This creative process is likely to take a step away from Blues exclusively and become a hybrid project of Soul, Funk, Jazz and Hip Hop, hence a new band name will be announced with the album release. In the meantime, the Blues gigs must go on! ZGB is proud and excited to welcome a host of new musicians to the family and we can announce our May gigs will feature 3 of Birminghams' finest- Ali Clinton (guitar), an incredible player, his guitar skills are off the scale and he commands a natural talent which has been on the road with the likes of Uli Jon Roth (Scorpions) and established him as a solo artist in his own right. Dave Clarke (bass) has played with just about everybody including Alvin Stardust and Ruby Turner and is a prolific and truly gifted bass player (and probably one of the nicest guys in the industry)! Toby Wilson (drums) son of Bob Wilson (Steve Gibbons Band) is yet another incredible player and brings years of experience playing with the best (most recently Laurence Jones and Joanne Shaw Taylor)- his skill, tone and precision will blow you away. Check out the Tour to see these guys take the roof off at a venue near you soon....
